Zika alert sounded across major airports

Following the recent outbreak of Zika in Singapore and Malaysia, authorities have reverted to screenings passengers across major Indian airports from Thursday. The advisory from the union health ministry asked the Mumbai airport to set up Zika help desks ahead of the immigration area at T2.
It added that fliers with fever and rashes, basic symptoms for the disease, should get themselves checked by the airport doctor. The alert was run on flight display screens and airport officials said that prototypes would be placed across the terminal.
The alert was issued after 13 Indian workers, among the 270-odd, tested positive for the virus following the outbreak of the mosquito-borne disease at a construction site in Singapore.
